SAM Membership

Regular chapter activities help students develop a wide array of managerial and leadership skills such as goal setting, planning, organizing, controlling, project management, scheduling, prioritizing, budgeting, advertising, marketing, public relations, fundraising, and running productive meetings.

Don't wait until you graduate to develop these skills.

General Membership (GM)

Free! No sign-up required.

General membership is best for SAMily members who simply want to get a grasp on the basics of management, and are interested in attending general meetings and maybe a few social events throughout the semester.

General Meetings for Fall 2024 will be held in Kinesiology 063 each Wednesday, from 5-6 pm.

With SAM, all members will:

  • Develop valuable leadership abilities & gain managerial knowledge.

  • Build a valuable network and meaningful friendships with their SAMily members.

  • Learn how to boost their marketability in general meetings, led by professionals in a variety of roles and industries.

  • Have opportunities to enhance their resume with project-based certificates. (First-come, first served!)

  • Form lasting personal and professional relationships with current and future leaders.

  • Be invited to attend general social events, general corporate tours, and fundraisers! Ticket prices will range from free to $15.

  • Learn about the skills required to succeed after graduation.

Representative Membership (RM)

$50 per semester, or $80 for the whole year.

This membership is best for SAMily members who want access to exclusive perks and more opportunities for professional growth. It’s cheaper to pay for the whole year because it helps us budget!

Representative Meetings will typically be held after general meetings.

Representative Membership covers:

  • Exclusive Representative Member events like dinners with professionals and alumni networking.

  • Year-long membership to the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP). Secondary application required!

  • Preferred invites to all corporate tours (general members will pay up to $15 per tour…) and free professional headshots.

  • Opportunities to climb the SAMily Tree! Earn points to climb to the next “branch”. Score SAM merch, graduation regalia, certificates of excellence, and compete for Member of the Month prizes.

  • Voting rights in elections - see behind the scenes and contribute to the future of SAM.

  • Eligibility to run for board positions!
